Mahjong Solitaire, the tile-matching game
Tiles are stacked in several layers. Tap two free, identical tiles: they disappear. The game is won when the board is empty.
Available on the App Store (iPhone, iPad) and on Google Play (Android).

The idea in one picture
Here is the starting position of deal MJ1-L00-AAAAABL on the Turtle layout: 144 tiles across 5 layers. Tiles with light faces are free (35 at the start); the others are blocked. Among the free tiles, 11 pairs are playable.
Removing a pair can free up others, or instead use up a tile that another stack needed. The rules explain each case, and the strategy guide shows how to avoid getting blocked.
